Radio personality

Voice actor's work is not only the postrecording. They have various work.
So I talk about voice actor's other work "Radio personality".

Radio talk shows are also called aniradio. Initially the vast majority was aired by local broadcast stations only, but after the communication boom of the 1990s the metropolitan radio stations began to also employ them. Some such programs aired for over ten years. This was the result of fans who regard radio talks as a way to get to know the voice actors as human beings rather than just voices for the characters they play.
Due to lower costs and the increase in the number of listeners, more and more of these radio talks are hosted on the Internet.

Now, I will introduce some radio programs.

"A&G Super Radio Show ANISUPA"
It is a signboard program representing anime radio of the JOQR.
In the latest audience rating investigation, in the metropolitan area, it turned out that the 1st place of the audience rating has been obtained from the student etc.
"A&G Media Station Comchat Countdown"
In this program, the questionnaire of the musical piece of anime, a game, and voice actor relation was taken, and ranking is announced.
"Nonko and Nobita's Anime Scramble"
This is the long-running program by which the broadcast start was carried out in 1991.
"Hayashibara Megumi's Heartful Station"
This program is also the broadcast start from 1991. This program's main personality is Hayashibara Megumi.Shi is so famous voice actress.

In addition, there is much anime radio. Voice actor has attractive voice. Therefore, a voice actor's charm could be felt also by a radio program.

How to postrecording

There are a lot of work of a voice actor. For example, the character voice of anime, the narrator of a TV program, dubbing the movie and so on.
I think that postrecording is a voice actor's main work.

I would like to explain the way of postrecording. First of all, a script is passed to a voice actor in advance.
The staff and the performers who appear on a recording studio gather, and a producer and a supervisor tell a production plan before recording.
And first, it carries out through a rehearsal once and holds a whole breath and timing with a flow or a coactor. Seeing projection and a monitoring screen, several persons share some microphones and say words at recording.

In the dubbing of a foreign work, it is carried out, hearing an original sound by an earphone. The video of the original edition is handed in advance to the performer, and it is made reference of performance. On the other hand, it is in a silent state at the time of postrecording of what a script is passed in advance, and it is common for an image to be also incomplete in the case of anime.

Even if it makes a mistake in words, it can rerecord., because now the recording is digital. However, if it mistakes once, it will rerecord from the beginning. And the time without tape recording was postrecording with a live broadcast. Even if the drawing of anime is not completed, sometimes they do the postrecording.

How do we become a voice acter?

A voice actor is a very attractive job.A voice actor's work is various. And in Japan, many people want to become a voice actor.I think that it is related to nerd culture.

So, how do we become a voice actor?
There are some methods of becoming a voice actor.
1. Entering a voice actor training school
2. belonging to theatrical company
3. From child actor

The most common is that 1.Entering a voice actor training school. There is the following as a famous voice actor training school.
"Tokyo announcement academy"

History of Voice Acting in Japan

I think that it can be proud of Japanese anime culture in the world. Now I want to state history of voice acting in Japan.

In 1925, the Tokyo Broadcasting Company (predecessor to the NHK, Japan's public broadcasting system) started radio broadcasts. And students who were specializing in voice-only performances became the first voice actors in Japan when a performance of a radio drama was broadcast.Since then, because there was no television broadcasts, radio dramas were very popular.Voice actor was also popular. Radio drama is now in its heyday, voice actor applicant increased rapidly.

In 1961, many Japanese dubbed versions, such as an overseas drama and oil painting, were broadcast. The first dubbed show broadcast in Japan was an episode of the American cartoon Superman, on October 9, 1955, on KRT (today TBS), and the first non-animated dubbed show broadcast was Cowboy G-Men, again by KRT, in 1956.

Both were dubbed live; the first show to be broadcast with pre-recorded dubbing was The Adventures of Television Boy(Terebi Bōya no Bōken) on April 8, 1956.

The voice actor boom occurred according to the anime boom by the hit of the theater version "SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO" of the second half of the 1970s. This time, many voice actors took out the record.

After the 1990s, a voice actor's appearance increased and the width of activity also spread. For example, singer activity, appears in a magazine, appears on television.

Now, voice actor is working not only to work of voice but to multi.

History of Voice Acting in the world

I am interested in voice acting. In Japan, voice acting is famous work and a lot of voice actors and actresses.

I want to state the history of voice acting in the world. But, voice acting is not  major work in foreign countries. In most cases, the actor and the narrator are voice acting as a side job. However, in South Korea, the broadcasting station has a TV drama team (Voice Acting Division).

It is said that "Old Kentucky Home", "Oh Mabel", etc. in 1924 are early talkie animation. At that time, Walt Disney's "Steamboat Willie" was also published. And Mickey Mouse's voice is played by Walt Disney.

Charles Martinet is as a famous foreign voice actor. He is performing the voice of main character Mario of the Mario series which is famous game series. He also play Luigi, Toad and Wario.

Many voice acter play original animation's character.Japanese animation has been exported to many overseas. So they often do the dubbing of Japanese anime. For example, Greg Ayres, Johnny Yong Bosch ,John Burgmeier, Dan Green, Kate Higgins are performing many Japanese anime's character.
