Not only voice actor do voice acting

Japan have a lot of voice actors and voice actresses. Because Japanese anime is so famous and Japanese animation culture is a world-class culture. Of course, in most cases, the work of voice actor as core business. But, person who is not voice actor as core business do voice acting.

Studio Ghibli film is often to appoint a famous actor. For example, Takuya Kimura play Howl in Howl's Moving Castle. Takuya Kimura is a very famous celebrity in Japan. Another, Chieko Baisho play Sophie and Akihiro Miwa play The Witch of the Waste. Studio Ghibli films, such as a very famous actor also play a supporting role. Introduce voice actors

I introduced Japanese voice actresses in the previous article. Next, I introduce some Japanese voice actor.

First, I introduce Kōichi Yamadera. His nickname is Yama-chan. I think he has the talent and he is well-known to a lot of people. He is playing an active part not only as a voice actor's work. His work is various, voice actor, actor, tarento, narrator, master of ceremonies. He can make various voices. So, he is a good imitation. He is best known for his roles in Kyattou Ninden Teyandee/Samurai Pizza Cats (as Karamaru/Bad Bird), Cowboy Bebop (as spike spiegel), Kaiketsu Zorori (as Zorori), Ghost in the Shell (as Togusa), Neon Genesis Evangelion (as Ryōji Kaji), Soreike! Anpanman (as Cheese), the Yatterman remake (as the Yatter- Mechas) and Ranma ½ (as Ryōga Hibiki/P-chan and the Jusenkyō Guide). And he has appeared in every Pokémon film thus far, playing a different role each time.

Next, I want you to know the voice actor Yūji Mitsuya. He is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and sound supervisor from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture who is affiliated with Bring Up.  He graduated from Meiji University. He is best known for his roles in The Lion King (Timon) Touch (Tatsuya Uesugi), Combattler V (Hyōma Aoi), Kiteretsu Daihyakka (Kōji Togari), Saint Seiya (Virgo Shaka) and the TV Asahi version of the Japanese dub of the Back to the Future trilogy (Marty McFly). He has a career for 40 years more. Recently, he has appeared in many television variety shows. And he has also worked as a writer and producer of theater.

Introduce voice actresses

I have written about the voice actor by this blog. I mainly introduced the voice actor's work. Then, I introduce some voice actresses. There are many voice actress who have nice voice in Japan. But I can not introduce all voice actresses. So, I choose some voice actresses.

First of all, I introduce Akiko Yajima. She is famous as a role of Shinnosuke Nohara which is a hero of a "Crayon Shin-chan." She wanted to study the theater from a schoolchild's time. She tried hard and fulfilled the dream. It is very much surprised that it is completely different at the time of the voice of her usually and Shinnosuke's voice.

Next, I would like to talk about Ikue Otani. She is very famous for the role of Pikachu of "Pocket Monsters". Since the voice of Pikachu is common to the world, her voice is known also overseas. Although the role of a boy and a girl is mainly played, two or more characters are performed with one work in many cases. Moreover, the different characters of the character of the same sex are also played.

Minami Takayama is playing an active part also as vocal of TWO-MIX. She play the role of hero Edogawa Conan of "Detective Conan", and hero Rantaro of "Nintama Rantaro." She perform various characters. I like her voice very much.

Voice actor's work is not only using their voice. They also often do work of a magazine as a model. So, I write about some voice actor magazines. A voice actor magazine is a magazine which deals with the voice actor's photogravure and information mainly.

"Seiyuu Grand prix"
It was first published in 1994. It has not only a voice actor's photogravure but the side of "the magazine for those who want to become a voice actor." Moreover, it introduces a voice actor school and a voice actor training school.

"Seiyuu Animedia"
It was first published in 2004. The idol voice actor is mainly dealt with this magazine.

Other, there are "voice new type" and "pickup voice" etc.

Recently, the magazine of a male voice actor speciality has also appeared by the increase in female fans. The lesson of the model may be performed in the voice actor training school by such situation. As for a voice actor, not only voice but appearance is becoming important. So, I think voice actor's work is very various.

Song

Voice actor is Voice work. They often sing a song. For example, character song that is performed by voice actor. Of course, there are voice actor's original song. I love the song. So I write about that song.

Character song is released in the name of character. In Japan, a lot of character songs are released. And some voice actors are not usually sing, but they may character song. Now I talk about some character song.

"K-On!"
This anime series have a lot of songs and there are many songs that are ranked in the upper of the Oricon. This character's song "GO! GO! MANIAC" got the first of the Oricon. It is the first time in the history of Oricon. Wonderfully, it was awarded the Special Prize 24th Annual Japan Gold Disc Awards.
"Crayon Shinchan"
This anime is popular and long-running program."Ora ha ninkimono" is the third opening theme song. It is sang by Nohara Shinnosuke. This song was the number of load exceeded 500,000 copies. In addition , this was entering first-ever Oricon's top ten as a single person in the name of animated cartoon character that a voice actor sang.
"The Prince Of Tennis"
This anime series have so many character song. And the number of music exceeds 300 titles.

"Nana Mizuki"
She achieved a lot of brilliant feat. She participated in NHK Kohaku Uta Gassenn. And she held tha concert in Tokyo Dome.
"Hekiru Shiina"
She got many first brilliant achievement  as a voice actor. She held the concert in Nippon Budokan for the first time as a voice actor. And she sang at the music station. Moreover she held the concert in the first gymnasium of the Yoyogi National Stadium, and a Saitama Super Arena.
I love the songs. I think that they have attractive voice. So it is happy to listen to the song.

Radio personality

Voice actor's work is not only the postrecording. They have various work.
So I talk about voice actor's other work "Radio personality".

Radio talk shows are also called aniradio. Initially the vast majority was aired by local broadcast stations only, but after the communication boom of the 1990s the metropolitan radio stations began to also employ them. Some such programs aired for over ten years. This was the result of fans who regard radio talks as a way to get to know the voice actors as human beings rather than just voices for the characters they play.
Due to lower costs and the increase in the number of listeners, more and more of these radio talks are hosted on the Internet.

Now, I will introduce some radio programs.

"A&G Super Radio Show ANISUPA"
It is a signboard program representing anime radio of the JOQR.
In the latest audience rating investigation, in the metropolitan area, it turned out that the 1st place of the audience rating has been obtained from the student etc.

In this program, the questionnaire of the musical piece of anime, a game, and voice actor relation was taken, and ranking is announced.

In addition, there is much anime radio. Voice actor has attractive voice. Therefore, a voice actor's charm could be felt also by a radio program.

How to postrecording

There are a lot of work of a voice actor.For example, the character voice of anime, the narrator of a TV program, dubbing the movie and so on.
I think that postrecording is a voice actor's main work.

I would like to explain the way of postrecording. First of all, a script is passed to a voice actor in advance.
The staff and the performers who appear on a recording studio gather, and a producer and a supervisor tell a production plan before recording.And first, it carries out through a rehearsal once and holds a whole breath and timing with a flow or a coactor. Seeing projection and a monitoring screen, several persons share some microphones and say words at recording.

In the dubbing of a foreign work, it is carried out, hearing an original sound by an earphone. The video of the original edition is handed in advance to the performer, and it is made reference of performance. On the other hand, it is in a silent state at the time of postrecording of what a script is passed in advance, and it is common for an image to be also incomplete in the case of anime.

Even if it makes a mistake in words, it can rerecord., because now the recording is digital. However, if it mistakes once, it will rerecord from the beginning. And the time without tape recording was postrecording with a live broadcast. Even if the drawing of anime is not completed, sometimes they do the postrecording.
